Final parkrun of the year, and my final spot of touristing for the year as well! Having stayed in Northampton for the night i had a choice of 4 parkruns in the area, however, decided on Salcey Forset as it was a one lapper, trail course, and lower numbers and it hit the spot on all of those counts!
A really nice course, through the forest, on hard trail paths. It was also a fairly flat course, it undulated a tiny bit, however, overall flat and despite the rain etc, it was not that muddy. It was a mizzly day, so it had a nice atmospheric effect in the forest.
A nice number, just over 200, and good facilities. Paid, but discounted parking, toilets and a cafe for the important post parkrun refueling!
Really enjoyed this course, certainly one of my faves for the year!
