A muddy slow plod around Winchester, although an enjoyable one. Winchester we seem to have underated and have decided to do it more often. Parking is easy (with charging) toilets available and then the town is close by for post parkrun breakfast! Good running weather day, especially for Newbury. It was a chilly morning (glove weather) but not bitterly cold and no wind to make it feel colder. With no rain in the week, underfoot was good and i really enjoyed it. Slow start (as ever at Newbury), however found a good pace and felt good going up the hill at the end. A dull, chilly morning, but no rain, no wind so in many ways perfect running weather. Nik's first parkrun of his 2024 visit, and he is now off and flying and running much faster, which is great to see he finished in a time of 00:23:37. My parkrun partner in crime was also running, although taking it a little easier. As ever, Andover is not my favourite course, however, i enjoyed it this morning. Although not my favourite route, Andover is local, nice and easy to get to. It was one of those runs that I felt good about, thought I was going faster than I was, but enjoyed all the same!
